AN ADVENTURE WITH A GOOD CAUSE
"1 in every two women in South Africa are raped in their lifetime"
On 27th February 2010, 6 cyclists will be leaving Howick on a 1760km, 15 day bicycle ride to Cape Town culminating with the 2010 Argus Cycle Tour. To make it more interesting, a significant portion of the route is on dirt roads.
"Insane" is word we have often heard when we share our enthusiasm for this trip. That same word is equally applicable to the above statistic.
Tony Psaila better known as Tony Tractor (see tonytractor.org), will be travelling around the world on a 1948 tractor to raise funds for and awareness of abuse of women and children. We have chosen to support Tony's efforts by raising awareness throughout our trip to Cape Town.
We challenge you - follow our travels, think about what you can do to stop the abuse, and get involved.
