Today is the beginning of the rest of your life – it is also the end of your past, a chance to start fresh. This applies as much to your financial governance, your tax affairs, and indeed your life.
Today I have been painfully reminded of this by a call from a long standing client to tell me that his young son has died in a freak accident playing with his friends. Something that could happen to anyone at any time.
My message is clear – get your priorities right starting with your beliefs, your family (not just your relatives) and then perhaps your business. Remember, your customer or supplier will mourn your business for a day, your family will mourn you for a lifetime.
